What a fantastic day we had once again! Our annual allotment open day brought together plot holders, neighbours, friends and families to celebrate our wonderful growing community.

Visitors enjoyed wandering through the plots, chatting to our gardeners, and discovering the hard work and creativity that happens here all year round. This year’s highlights included our ever-popular scarecrow competition, a table full of homemade cakes, jams, chutneys and crafts, plus a busy raffle and tombola. Delicious refreshments—tea, coffee, sandwiches, pies and plenty of cake—kept everyone going.

Children got stuck into nature with a bug hunt and had their say in voting for the winning scarecrow! And of course, no one went home empty-handed, with plenty of fresh allotment produce available to take away. It truly was a day full of community spirit, conversation, good food, and garden fun for all ages. We can’t wait to welcome everyone back again next year!
